From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Romina D'Ugo is a Toronto-born actress and dancer who was a part of the So You Think You Can Dance Canada Top 20. She has guest-starred in Degrassi: Next Generation, Life with Derek, Hairspray and Nikita. D'Ugo is a graduate from the Sheridan Institute's Musical Theatre - Performance program. At age nine, she started taking jazz classes and picked up tap and ballet a year later, traveling across the country participating in several dance competitions. She went on to attend Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, majoring in dance.

Her career began upon graduating early from college to play a supporting role in the Universal Pictures film How She Move. She became a household name when she earned a spot as one of the Top 20 dancers on So You Think You Can Dance Canada. She then went on to star opposite Justin Chatwin in the feature film, Funkytown. Select television guest star, recurring guest star, and series regular credits include: Godfather of Harlem (EPIX), Coyote (Paramount), Designated Survivor (NBC/Netflix), 12 Monkeys (SYFY/NBC), Rookie Blue (ABC/Global), Nikita (CW), and Nurses (NBC/Global). Romina also starred in MTV's original movie Turn The Beat Around for which she was nominated as Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Canadian Screen Awards. Romina also choreographed for Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne in the DC Comics film Suicide Squad in 2016. Most recently she starred in the coming-of-age dramatic comedy "I Like Movies", written and directed by Chandler Levack, to be released in theaters later this year.
