Our client, a popular health and wellness brand, is hiring a Spanish Linguist to join their team at a remote capacity. This is a temporary, year long assignment.
Job Duties Include:
Review English-to-Mexican Spanish and Spanish-to-English subtitles ensuring attention to detail and timely delivery
Advise on and update the Translation and Subtitling Guidelines & the Dubbing Guidelines
Research and translate fitness-related terminology
Review and quality check closed captions, providing feedback and suggesting improvements to the speech recognition model
Translate and/or review marketing copy and assets
Develop an understanding of products and offer guidance on subtitling/dubbing market expectations
Review and provide feedback on dubbing scripts
Participate in voice casting sessions
Ad hoc duties and projects as needed and assigned
Job Qualifications Include:
Native Spanish speaker with advanced knowledge of grammar, syntax, idioms, and slang
Fluent in written and spoken English
4+ years of subtitling experience
6+ years of experience in translation, localisation, and transcreation
Experience with subtitling or translation using one or more translation management systems
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines
Experience attending dubbing recording sessions is a plus
Interest in fitness and content production is a plus
Salary: $27/hr
