Treat yourself to a weekend of celebrations and fun— without even leaving the county.
Events to add to your calendar include a tractor celebration, Celebrate Lancaster, an art market, a summer social, an ice cream social, a Black business expo, a tribute to Woodstock, the PA Renaissance Faire's return and a cornhole competition.

Summer Rooftop Social
The Lancaster chapter of The Beauty Boost, a company that hosts events geared toward women, will host a special rooftop social at the Imperial this Thursday, featuring plenty of co*cktails and mocktails, a mini chair massage, permanent jewelry, sugaring, photography opportunities and much more.

Threshermen's Reunion
Organizers tout the Thresherman's Reunion at Rough & Tumble as "the most complete steam and gas show in the east." The show kicks off Wednesday and will feature four days of tractor- and machine-themed activities. There will be live entertainment each night, as well as antique, garden and pedal tractor pulls. There will also be model engines, threshing demonstrations, a blacksmith shop, craft displays and more.
Veterans, active duty military and first responders can visit the event for free Wednesday.

Celebrate Lancaster
Several dozen vendors, food trucks and entertainers will take to North Queen Street this Friday for the annual Celebrate Lancaster event that brings thousands of people to Lancaster city. There will be performers in Binns Park and Penn Square, and there will be plenty of food options, informational tables and more.

Liminal art market
Organizers with The Midnight Oil, Norbu Lancaster and Prism Thrift teamed up to create an art market during Celebrate Lancaster in the former Rainbow store on North Queen Street. Artists will sell handmade, original and vintage goods.

Black Business Expo
The African American Cultural Alliance of Lancaster will host a Black Business Expo at the Shops at Rockvale this Saturday. The event will highlight Black-owned businesses, and offer live music, food, prizes, speakers and more.

Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire
The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire returns this weekend with a "Fairies & Fantasy" theme. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as pixies, centaurs, fawns and more. There will be an adult costume contest, a dog costume contest and a Family Fairy Frolic at the Chess Board, as well as many live entertainment options.

Woodstock Music Fest
Whether you want to relive the days of Woodstock, or perhaps live them for the first time, consider heading to East Petersburg for its Woodstock Music Festival. The Woodstock Tribute Band, on hiatus since 2019's Woodstock tribute at Long's Park, will perform in East Petersburg Community Parkto commemorate the 55th anniversary of the famous festival. There will also be food trucks on site. Be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chairs.

Ice Cream Social
The Ephrata Cloister will host its annual Ice Cream Social, featuring ice cream and brownie sundaes scooped by "celebrity scoopers" like Ephrata mayor Ralph Mowen, WIOV host Casey Allyn, Ephrata police chief Chris McKim and more. Americana band The All Weather Band will perform during the event.
Proceeds from the event benefit educational programming at the Ephrata Cloister.

Cornhole Classic
The Junior League of Lancaster's Cornhole Classic event returns this weekend, with plenty of opportunities for kids and adults alike to have fun, and potentially play cornhole. While many spots for the cornhole tournament have already been filled (online registration ended Tuesday), event coordinators will take on some beginner players and teams for walk-in registration until 3 p.m. the day of the event.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will move to Aug. 25.
